The song originally had lyrics that were written by Vicki Lawrence. She was going to sing the lyrics to the music while it was played at the beginning of the show. But when Joe Hamilto refused to pay Vicki for the lyrics of the song saying that he could write something better on the back of the toilet in five minutes, the lyrics were never published. We don't know the lyrics, all we know is that the title that Vicki chose for the song: "Bless My Happy Home" was placed at the end of the credits with no mention that she wrote it.
